BEWARE OF THE CROWS

Hearing my husband yelling at the top of his lungs in the back yard set me into a panic. “What on earth is the problem?” I was thinking as I rushed out of the door to see him. After catching my breath, and relieved to see that he was ok, he shared with me that he was yelling at two crows. “Crows?” I replied. “I was trying to scare them off because they were robbing the Mocking bird’s nest,” he exclaimed, and then continued to tell me that he had watched the crows carry the young chicks away. He and I were both distraught about the whole incident. You can say it is just nature and something we all have to accept. This statement may be true, but it doesn’t mean we have to like it. We would much rather listen to the songs of mocking birds than the squawks of crows!

After returning into the house, my thoughts were still with the baby Mocking birds. As I am going about my daily chores I thought about the parallel between the baby birds and baby Christians. While speaking with others I have made the comment that,” Some of our churches were like unto, Birthing Centers and Abortion Clinics.” What is meant by this bewildered statement is that some of our churches are excellent at spreading their nets, and helping to birth those that are seeking the Lord into the family of God. Because of pride and the false doctrines of their individual steeples’ the babies are soon aborted; some falling back into the world of despair, while others continue on within their own pride of deception, falling into the social scheme and teachings of their denomination of choice. They continue to claim they are one of his, while deceiving and being deceived. In reality they have become lukewarm, having been set aside, no longer useful for the Master’s service.

In John 10:10 it says, “The thief cometh not but to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” Within this chapter Jesus reminds us that He is the good Shepard, and warns us of the hireling, watching over the sheep and of the wolf which seeks to kill. Jesus, of course, is speaking of Satan as the wolf, who comes to still, kill and destroy.

Jesus also warns us in Mathew chapter 24:4,5 – 11; and also in Mathew 27:63, not to let any man deceive you. Take a moment to think about the warning within these powerful words. “Let No Man deceive you.”

Let us go back to the good Shepard, we know of course that Jesus is the good Shepard; so who are the hirelings? It is of course our Pastors or Clergymen.

Are all Pastors deceiving? Of course not, and most that are, were deceived themselves; therefore, are unaware of their part in misguiding others. You see Jesus said, “Let no Man deceive you.” Paul In 2 Corinthians Ch. 11: 12-15 warns us of Satan transforming himself into an angel of light, as well as false apostles and ministers of righteousness that are also transformed into light. The word states that they are deceitful workers. These are like Crows that are merely men, just like you and I. Jesus said, “let no man deceive you.” So Satan uses men, the deceitful Shepherds to deceive us. You might say, “Well my Shepard has a doctorate in theology,” Really? Does the doctorate make him a true man of God? You might say, “Well My pastor preaches and reads right out of the Bible.” Really? Does preaching and reading make him a true man of God? You might say, “ Well I know my minister is a true Believer.” Really? Him calling himself a Believer, does it make him a true man of God? “How then can we tell?” you might ask.

In Mathew chapter 7:15,16 Jesus says, ”Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?” What Jesus is actually saying is  that you know in picking grapes there isn’t any thorns on a grape vine and having picked figs you know there aren’t any thistles on a fig tree. Within the simplicity of these words Jesus is saying if you know Him, and His word, as well as you know these things you would recognize the deceitful workers by their own words and the message they preach.

In First John Ch.2:27 it says that you do not need any man to teach you, but the anointing which abides within you, (the Holy Spirit) would teach you and is truth and is no lie, it would bring all things back to your remembrance. If God’s word is in you and you lean not upon another man, than No Man can deceive you, not even the Crows.

In Isaiah 34:16 it states: Seek ye out the book of the Lord and read: no one of these shall fail… If God’s word is in you than you cannot fail, His word is the key to everything, His love, His Wisdom, His knowledge and His understanding.
